Abriendo el Love Nest is a therapy practice located in FL. Led by therapists Carrin and Andre, Abriendo el Love Nest specializes in helping individuals cope with difficult emotions, especially those that arise during life transitions. These life transitions could include starting or ending a relationship, making a career switch, getting a new diagnosis, or adjusting to life with a disability or chronic health issue. The therapists at Abriendo el Love Nest also support caregivers, giving them a warm and welcoming space to express their feelings about their loved one’s experiences. Carrin and Andre also support those who would like to decrease the grasp that anxiety or depression has on their life. They are passionate about working with veterans and those in the military community.

As social workers, Carrin and Andre are sex and kink positive and affirming of all cultures and identities. They strive to create an inclusive space where all feel comfortable taking steps towards greater mental health. To help their clients, the therapists at Abriendo el Love Nest practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which guides clients towards greater understanding of their situations and how their values manifest in their decisions and routines. They also practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including CBT for insomnia. This thought-based therapy modality helps decrease the occurrence of harmful thought patterns that can disrupt healthy behaviors. At Abriendo el Love Nest, clients can address substance abuse, chronic pain, or difficulty in their relationships.

Abriendo el Love Nest also offers various mental health groups, including a trauma group for women, a hobbies group that offers art therapy, and general group processing sessions. With compassion and kindness, the therapists at Abriendo el Love Nest help clients change their lives for the better.


Bipolar disorder - Developing coping and preventive strategies to stabilize extreme mood swings, including manic and depressive episodes; increasing effective strategies to regulate emotions and maintain a healthy daily routine

Men's health - Expertise in working with adult men; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges and promote physical and mental health

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse

Veterans' issues - Coping with reactions of exposure to life-threatening or traumatic events; supporting veterans and their families adjusting to civilian life

Women's issues - Therapy tailored to common concerns among women; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges, stressors, and questions around identity as a woman

Nonmonogamy, polyamory, and kink - Exploring one’s values in and beliefs about relationships; practicing boundary-setting, conflict resolution, and romantic or sexual relationship bonding with partners
