Autumn Counseling is a collection of skills and compassionate therapists dedicated to supporting our clients facing and moving through the challenges of life today. We work with a range of diverse clients and bring a variety of training and expertise to our practice.
Brittany Burch, owner of Autumn Counseling, Inc., is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Certified Group Psychotherapist. Her passion and primary focus is working with couples, utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and also drawing from other leaders in the couples therapy specialty. She provides premarital counseling, crisis couples counseling for couples contemplating divorce or exploring reconciliation after an affair and work with couples just wanting to iron out some wrinkles to keep their relationship healthy and vibrant. Brittany is also trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to use with clients addressing trauma. Brittany also works with addictions and provides a support group for women adjusting to life after the loss of their mother in her monthly Motherless Daughters Support Group.
Amanda Austin is a licensed masters in social work and specializes in eating disorders and the LGBTQ+ community. She is especially skilled in working with adolescents and young adults exploring gender and sexual identity, and the overlap of eating disorders prevalent in the queer community. Amanda also sees couples.
Kristina Tutt, our newest therapist to join the practice, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specializes in LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS. Kristina is also trained in EMDR and works with trauma. Kristina works with both adolescents and adults in exploring and enriching their most authentic selves.

Autumn Counseling, Inc., located in the Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas, is dedicated to creating a collaborative relationship with our clients to gently and courageously face the challenges that confront their lives. We focus on couples therapy, trauma, addictions and have a passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community. We provide EFT and EFIT - Emotionally Focused Therapy for both couples and individuals, as well as EMDR for clients addressing trauma recovery. Furthermore, we offer a grief support group for women coping with the death of their mother, and clinical supervision for post-graduate social workers pursuing their clinical licensure.
Our clinicians are grounded in the ethical application of clinical social work, support each other in regular supervision and consultation to bring the very best to our clients. The group practice allows us to support each other as we help our clients carry the weight of the challenges they face. We are committed to serving our clients with skill, experience and insight, and with compassion and expertise. We bring a depth of experience in EMDR, EFT, EFIT and a passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community.
While we do not accept insurance, we have some limited sliding scale spots available to clients in need. We also provide receipts for clients to submit to their providers for out of network coverage that might be available. Our fees range from $90-$175 depending on the provider and services offered.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse utilizing EMDR
Substance abuse - Reducing and preventing the negative impact of drug and alcohol use and addictions on physical, emotional, and relational health
Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance
