Practice Information

Ellie Mental Health of Waco is a new and dynamic therapy practice that provides in-person or virtual sessions to a variety of clients. Located near Lake Air and Bosque, our clinic is a short drive from anywhere in Waco and recently opened in January 2024.

By accepting most major insurances as well as a Self Pay option, we seek to reach as many people in need as we can through community outreach, traditional marketing, social media, and networking. Our overarching goal is to be the go-to source for meaningful talk therapy to help build a better Waco. We currently team with numerous community partners and organizations to combine our efforts to help more people, including Arc of Waco, Friends for Life, the McClennan County Sheriff's Department, Goodwill Industries, Waco Chamber of Commerce, and more!

What services does your practice offer?

At Ellie Mental Health of Waco, we provide individual, couple, family, and group counseling serving a vast array of client needs. We can provide therapy in-person at our clinic in Waco, or virtually to clients anywhere in the state of Texas.

What are your practice's specialties?

Our clinicians represent a wide variety of service specialties and are trained to identify and treat clients with a variety of concerns, including grief, trauma, depression, sexual orientation, gender identity, and much more. By bringing together a diverse team of clinicians, we intend to serve a wide variety of clients.

In Waco, it is difficult finding a therapist who accepts insurance and does not have a waiting list - but that's us! We're right here waiting for you! Our offices have been recently renovated to provide a safe, comfortable environment to come and meet with one of our skilled providers. Conveniently located at Lake Air and Bosque, near the Extraco Event Center. Parking is easy and coffee is available in our lobby.

How does payment work at your practice?

Through our partnership with numerous health insurance companies, Ellie Mental Health will allow most people to see us by using their current health insurance benefits. But for those without health insurance and those who prefer not to use their health insurance, we also offer a Self Pay option. Our fees range from $90-$150 depending on service and provider.

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

LGBTQIA, gender, & sexuality topics - Exploring topics of sexuality, gender, and identity; coping with discrimination and oppression; navigating relationship, family, and cultural challenges

Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
