Practice Information

At Lower Manhattan Psychology, we are a team of dedicated psychologists here to support you in creating the change you desire. Our approach centers on building a genuine and trusting relationship with you to deeply understand your unique challenges.

Issues like obsessive thoughts, feelings of not fitting in, or difficulties in finding fulfilling relationships may seem isolated, yet they’re often more interconnected and complex than they appear. Our psychologists are here to help you uncover the underlying factors influencing each challenge and explore how they may relate to one another. Through a blend of insight-driven exploration and practical behavioral techniques, we’ll work together to pave the way for lasting change.

All of our psychologists have at least 10 or more years of experience. Our practice is distinguished by a belief in the therapeutic power of relationships, which we consider essential to fostering meaningful change. This philosophy extends not only to our client relationships but also to our relationship to each other. Each week, we engage in collaborative staff meetings, allowing us to provide mutual support, reflect on our approaches, and uphold the highest standards of care. Our professional relationships are characterized by core values of honesty, trust, respect, and professionalism—principles we bring directly into our work with clients. By creating an environment founded on these values, we ensure that each client experiences a compassionate, supportive, and effective therapeutic journey.

How does payment work at your practice?

All of our providers are in network with Aetna, Optum, Oxford, and United Healthcare and almost all of our providers are in network with Cigna/Evernorth and Medicare.

We work with patients who have BCBS, Carelon, NYSHIP Empire, and many other popular insurance carriers as an out-of-network provider. Although we do not accept insurance directly, we can help you submit the documentation you need to receive reimbursement for services to your insurance company. Many insurance plans provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Coverage for our services will vary depending on your insurance provider.
