About the team: Resilience Lab is a therapy group practice whose providers specialize in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as helping clients navigate issues related to family, relationships, and general life transitions. In addition to traditional talk therapy, Resilience Lab is able to provide integrative services, like nutrition coaching, as supplementary options.

Resilience Lab has offices in Soho, Chelsea, Bryant Park, and Flatiron, and all providers are able to connect with clients via remote sessions as well.

What services does your practice offer?

Resilience Lab is a comprehensive therapy group practice spread throughout Manhattan in Soho, Chelsea, Bryant Park, and Flatiron. All of our therapists also offer teletherapy as an alternative to in-person sessions. We offer individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions as well as integrative services, like nutrition coaching, as a supplement to psychotherapy. We make a large effort to honor the mind-body connection and address the whole person.

What are your practice's specialties?

We are not exaggerating when we say that our therapists have a wide-range of skillsets. Resilience Lab therapists specialize in the following areas (in alphabetical order): addictions; adjustment difficulties and disorders; anxiety; career counseling; couples counseling; family issues; LGBTQIA topics; life transitions; loss, grief, and bereavement; men’s health; mood disorders; OCD; PTSD; race and cultural identity; relationship issues; self-esteem; stress management; trauma; and more.

We believe everyone has the capacity to bounce back with the right coping skills. Resilience Lab therapists are trained in the Resilience Lab Methodology, which adopts a holistic, integrative approach to help you mitigate life's challenges. Our therapists design individualized wellness plans that target both your strengths and deficits to provide measurable improvements to your well-being across various dimensions.

How does payment work at your practice?

At Resilience Lab, our mission is to increase access to mental health services, so we set our fees much lower than the average rate in New York City: $150/45-minute session. We also offer a sliding scale if you are currently experiencing financial barriers to receiving consistent and quality treatment. If you have health insurance, our billing department will verify your out-of-network benefits, provide a detailed summary of your expected reimbursement amount, and submit claims directly to your behalf. In other words, all you have to do is pay upfront and simply wait for your check to come in the mail.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Family/relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships

LGBTQIA topics - Exploring topics of sexuality, gender, and identity; coping with discrimination and oppression; navigating relationship, family, and cultural challenges

Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
