Tamara Gorfine-Petrelli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in West Palm Beach, FL. Tamara works with clients across the age span and stages of life. Her clients include those who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance abuse, and bereavement. She also works with new parents and parents who are overwhelmed with the stress of raising a family. Many of Tamara’s clients seek the support of a therapist to process through major life transitions such as marriage, divorce, starting a new career, retirement, and more.

Tamara uses multiple evidence-based therapy modalities in her work with clients. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she teaches clients how to change their thought patterns, which can impact their mood down the line. She also teaches clients how to better understand their motivation for making change in their lives, and helps clients grow this motivation when appropriate. Clients have the opportunity to talk openly and freely about what’s on their mind without fear of judgment.

Tamara earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University. She has over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. During her career, she’s worked in settings that focus on treating substance abuse and dependency, where she’s learned how to support clients in ways that are effective for their specific situations.
