Tate Psychotherapy believes comfort, understanding, and fun create the ultimate therapeutic experience. We believe that growth comes from the relationship that is developed between the therapist and client, which at heart is just two human beings in a room together trying to navigate the very complicated, but beautiful condition that we all suffer from: life.
Tate Psychotherapy is made up of four unique and wonderful therapists, all wildly passionate about helping others. We work together to help you overcome your most painful, challenging, and confusing moments. No matter who you work with, you will be met with compassion that does not feel sterile, but like a mini spa vacation for your soul.
Our focuses include: anxiety, bullying, eating disorders, chronic health conditions, divorce, depression, grief, self esteem, dating, PTSD, behavior in school, teenage relationships and dating, blending families, communication skills, special needs, and learning disabilities. Tate Psychotherapy is a boutique therapy group practice located in Flatiron. We offer individual, couples, group and family therapy sessions. We’re not an antiquated practice. We value transparency about who we are as people, not just our degrees or training. Fun is important to us, which is why we use up-to-date content, such as video and interactive work together, to connect supportively and authentically.
Our team specializes in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, OCD, relationships, EMDR and children's therapy. Prior to working at the practice, our therapists have worked in hospitals, pediatric nursing homes, schools and various nonprofits. We utilize many approaches in our work including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR.
