Therapists at The Collaborative welcome and affirm clients from all abilities, backgrounds, identities, belief systems. We serve professionals, creatives, students, teens, children and families.
Our team is based in Greenwich Village, Manhattan serving clients face to face, but we serve all of NY state via telehealth.

- Holistic & Systems: Trauma disrupts both physical and psychological systems on many levels and across time. Unlike traditional talk therapy which focuses on thinking and feelings alone; our therapeutic model is aligned with what we now know — to affect deep, lasting change we harness our thinking (cognition), feelings (affect), bodies (somatic sensations) and reorganize the ways these systems relate within us and between us (inter- and intra-personal).
- Experiential: The past is only relevant in the ways it impacts our lives now. We encourage movement, creative expression, and other body-based experiences. We focus on real-time encounters, providing new ways to engage, play, repattern and challenge yourself.
- Grounded in Science: Recent developments in the field have revealed that past experiences become imprinted in our neural pathways, our nervous systems, and our bodies affecting the ways we experience ourselves and our world.
- Individualized: Every client, couple and family’s healing journey is unique. We listen closely, think creatively and invite collaboration. Starting where you are, we actualizing shared goals.
The Collaborative - Holistic, Experiential Therapy is a group psychotherapy practice based in Lower Manhattan, serving academics, creatives, professionals, students, couples and families. Beyond talk therapy, our clinicians engage the body, relationship, identity, beliefs and life context to develop a custom healing plan to address your unique strengths, vulnerabilities, relational style and goals.

Together we co-create an individual approach that integrates some of the most powerful therapeutic approaches, including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR / Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated, Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and psychedelic assisted therapies.

We are real people in the therapy room, responding actively and authentically, delivering expertise with warmth, humor and care. We aim for the root cause to affect deep, lasting change. In addition to weekly therapy, we also offer trauma intensives, which might take the form of extended sessions from 90 mins to 3 hours or meet intensively over the course of a week.

At The Collaborative, our goal is to get you out of therapy and into your life!
All therapists at The Collaborative - Holistic, Experiential therapy are out of network providers with fees ranging from $189-$325/session, depending on service and length of session. We offer superbills to submit for reimbursement from your out of network insurance company. We provide follow up support as needed to work with insurance companies to ensure reimbursement whereever possible. We do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
