I became a licensed mental health counselor after many years building my family. I was looking for something fulfilling to do in my every day life and I found it in clinical counseling. I am a solution focused goal oriented therapist who helps lead the client to self discovery. I take continuing education courses regularly to keep up with the ever changing landscape of mental health and most recently finished my certification in dialectical behavioral therapy.
Mental health counseling has always been my passion. Previously to this I was a stay at home mother while completing my education as well as continuing education in the field to stay current. I am solution focused, organized, reliable, and goal oriented. I have worked in schools and in a group practice previously with all age clients. I currently just completed a certification in dialectical behavioral therapy as it is a popular treatment modality that I align with as well as solution focused therapy.
In working with me, I take a goal oriented approach to therapy. I try to uncover the underlying issue to get to the root of the problem. Many of my clients have seen progress through this in all aspects of their life. I prefer to work with adults, children, couples and families.
