True Counseling Services is a fully virtual therapy practice physically located in Fort Worth, TX that serves teens, young adults, and adults. Our practice treats both individuals and couples. At this time we do no offer family therapy services. Most of the clients who seek therapy at True Counseling Services come with a desire to become in control of their emotions and to work on improving their overall mental health and wellbeing. They want to grow but aren’t sure how, especially in the face of their anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, infertility, stress, depression, abandonment issues, mood instability or other barriers to finding a greater sense of wellbeing.

The therapists at True Counseling Services help clients by teaching them different tools and perspectives. Clients benefit from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), all of which are thought-based therapy modalities that emphasize the need to start healthy thought patterns. Clients might also benefit from mindfulness and grounding techniques, whether that’s deep breathing, meditation, or quiet reflection.

At True Counseling Services, clients benefit from a strengths-based perspective and trauma-informed approach. Therapists believe that every individual they meet with has innate strengths that have gotten them through difficult situations in the past. They encourage clients to identify and cherish their resilience while challenging themselves to cope with discomfort. They do this in a way that never pushes a client too far, especially into their trauma. Clients feel safe in the warm, kind environment, and begin their journey towards self-growth.

What services does your practice offer?

The services provided are individual, couples, bariatric surgery evaluations and surrogate/egg donor/intended parent evaluations and support. We serve clients in the following states at this time; Texas, Florida, Maine, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC and Colorado.

What are your practice's specialties?

TCS works with clients age 13+. Being a virtual practice, clients should be tech capable and able to be able to participate in therapy via video platform. The therapists at TCS work with a variety of different areas, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, life changes, work/vocational stress and trauma.

Why should I choose your practice?

TCS works to make the client the center of treatment. Goals are identified by the client and supported by the clinician through treatment. Clinicians within the practice want to see successful changes with the clients life outside of treatment. Clinicians have specialized training in areas treated in additional to the education and clinical licensures.

How does payment work at your practice?

At TCS we are in-network with many insurances. Please see the insurance list and reach out if you have questions and want to see if we are possibly in-network with your plan if it's not listed. We are happy to submit claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company. Rates are determined by your insurance company and the plan you have chosen, so those rates are different. We are happy to check your benefits if you plan to schedule an appointment.

We also take private pay clients and individual session rates are $175 per individual session and $200 for couples sessions.

A credit/debit/HSA/FSA card is required when booking a session. You will not be charged until your appointment and you will be charged only for your responsibility as determined by benefits or private pay rates. You will be charged the full fees for no-showed appointments or late cancelations.
