Dr. Thomas Yang is a Psychiatrist located in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Yang works closely with individuals of all ages to manage the impact of ADHD or anxiety. Many of his clients have gone their whole lives without treating their ADHD, leaving them exhausted, frustrated, or ashamed. Other clients struggle at work, at school, or in relationships because of the natural way their minds work. They might feel overwhelmingly anxious, which can lead to isolation, panic, or physical symptoms. Dr. Yang believes that every client has strengths and strives to help them find comfortable ways to engage in daily life.

Dr. Yang begins by getting to know each one of his clients. He asks about various aspects of their lives, including their profession, relationships, aspirations, and how they feel about themselves. When appropriate, Dr. Yang prescribes medication that helps alleviate or lessen some of their symptoms. He then continues to follow these clients as they adjust the medications, ensuring that they find what works best. To supplement medication management, Dr. Yang also teaches coping skills including mindfulness exercises. These can be helpful when clients feel overwhelmed.

Dr. Yang earned his MD from Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine. He has additional training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and aims to provide personable, collaborative services that help his clients reach their goals. He brings empathy, kindness, and understanding to each session and helps clients recognize what makes them special, unique, and strong.
