Message to clients

For patients who are interested in medication for ADHD, I provide both initiation and follow up medication management. It is a dynamic process in which we begin with a certain medication and dosage, but that may change over time depending on the patient's response. It is a dynamic interaction between doctor and patient reviewing the individual's response, side effects, and trying to find a treatment plan that matches the individual the best.

Clinical diagnosis and treatment of ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) - Diagnosis consists of a straightforward one hour interview for adults, in which Dr. Marwil will review symptoms with the patient to reach a clinical diagnosis. For children and adolescents, ADHD evaluations consist of 2 one hour sessions, which include a developmental screening evaluation. Medical intervention and monitoring are provided if the patient is interested in medication, and referrals are made to therapists for talk therapy if preferred.
