Ericka Roberts is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern located in Orlando, FL. She enjoys meeting new clients and helping them through interpersonal relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and other mental health conditions. She believes that through looking at the underlying core issues that lead to emotions like anxiety or depression, she can support clients to adjust their lives and reduce their symptoms.
When working with clients, Ericka takes a systems approach, which means she looks at all the factors influencing a person’s life as they discuss their well-being. Clients learn more about the body and mind’s natural trauma response, as well as how attachment early in life can lead to challenges in relationships in adulthood. Therapy with Ericka is somatic and mindful, with clients leaving each session feeling like they gained deeper insight into themselves and like they have the tools they need to cope with difficult emotions.
Ericka earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University with core competency in treating trauma. She offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and is a certified master yoga therapist. Her style is empathetic and positive as she works with clients through their life challenges.
