Advanced Nurse Practitioner, ANPAnn Green is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner located in New York. Ann offers individual, group and couples therapy and is also licensed to evaluate the need for and prescribe medication to supplement the therapy if and when needed. Ann offers a relational and cultural perspective helping people grow as they face life’s challenges.
She works with clients who face relationship challenges, family conflicts, breakups, job stress, social anxiety, difficulties with asserting themselves or asking for what they need, Ann works to build trust and creates an environment for honesty and openness. Her clients include working professionals, college students and people navigating life transitions. She also specializes in helping people who’ve experienced childhood or adult trauma and is trained in a trauma-informed therapy style called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which helps people process and change their relationship to their traumatic experiences.
She pairs this with group therapy where clients can build with others, reflect on and gain new perspectives, learn to share their feelings with others, develop their relationship-building skills, learn to assert themselves, get closer to people, become better listeners and much more. Group therapy encourages clients to consider their interactions with others and how their relationships impact their wellbeing. Group therapy provides emotional and social support to make emotional choices that help people get unstuck and find new ways to address their emotional pain.
With over 35 years of experience, Ann is passionate about the work she does and loves helping clients grow emotionally and embrace their lives.
