Christen is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes that healing is both an art and a science. Her treatment philosophy is holistic and rooted in an existential, humanistic, and biopsychosocial framework. Christen has an interest in integrative treatment modalities that are person-centered and include psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and mindfulness practice.

Christen acquired both her bachelors of psychology and nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her masters of science in nursing specializing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner from D’Youville University. Christen has six years’ experience in the mental health field working with mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, schizoaffective and schizophrenia diagnoses, substance abuse, personality difficulties, and interpersonal stressors.
