Derek Terrell

Hi, I’m Derek Terrell, PMHNP-BC and a graduate of Regis College. I specialize in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions affecting adults and adolescents. My special interests include working with professionals, minority groups, LGBTQ+, those that feel "othered", and providing 2nd opinions. I use a warm and empathic approach to create collaborative partnerships with my patients so that psychiatric concerns can be addressed from a shared perspective. I place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation by helping patients understand their diagnoses and management options so that they can make informed decisions about their health. My practice is rooted in a blend of supportive, client-centered, and insight-oriented therapy, ensuring a holistic approach tailored to your individual needs. Our appointments will never feel rushed. I strive to work with clients to explore their emotions, understand their experiences, and develop practical strategies for managing their mental health needs.
