Dr. Dorothy Chatelier, APRN, DNP, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of Peace and Heart Mind Care. She specializes in integrative psychiatry, working with individuals who are navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, and stress-related conditions. Her clients often seek care after feeling unheard or underserved by conventional treatment models. Many are looking for a provider who will listen deeply, take a whole-person approach, and explore both physical and emotional contributors to their mental health.
Dr. Chatelier’s therapy approach is rooted in the belief that mental health cannot be treated in isolation. She blends medication management with functional and holistic care, incorporating lab testing, nutritional support, hormone evaluation, and wellness strategies such as IV hydration and vitamin injections. Each treatment plan is personalized, with the goal of addressing root causes—not just managing symptoms. Her clients can expect to be seen as more than a diagnosis and to be met with warmth, compassion, and a sense of partnership in their healing.
With a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and over six years in private practice, Dr. Chatelier brings a wide range of clinical experience, including mental health care for incarcerated populations and advocacy in community settings. She is continually expanding her knowledge through research, coursework, and training to ensure that her clients receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care available.
Peace and Heart Mind Care offers in person (ONLY IN SOUTH FLORIDA) remote sessions via a secure telehealth platform, making care accessible and convenient across many states. All new clients are welcomed with a thorough evaluation process that includes lab testing to uncover physiological imbalances often overlooked in traditional psychiatry. Dr. Chatelier currently offers weekday appointments and is accepting new clients who are ready to explore a deeper, more connected path to mental wellness.
