I am an ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. I received my MSN from Molloy College, New York, in August 2019 and my DNP from Chatham University in Pittsburg in April 2022. Since graduating, I have worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
I have a wide range of experience working with patients with depression, anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, substance use, and bipolar disorders. I also worked with patients receiving Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) treatments to manage treatment-resistant depression and other severe psychiatric conditions. As a result, I have gained considerable skills and abilities that have molded me into an effective practitioner.
Since my school years, it has been my passion to work in psychiatric nursing due to the ongoing stigma in the field. My motivations are rooted in the skills I have obtained from my exceptional training and work history, which I will gladly offer to those in need. I continue to promote mental health awareness to eradicate this illness’s stigma. I also believe the therapeutic alliance is essential for the patient’s compliance with treatment plans.
