Professional statement

Julie Dunne, PhD, PMHNP-BC, RYT, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Drishti Holistic Wellness. She specializes in mindful mental health care, integrating psychiatric medication management with evidence-based therapies like Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Julie works with individuals experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and other mental health conditions, helping clients meet their unique wellness goals with compassion, expertise, and a holistic lens.

Drawing on her background as a registered yoga teacher and her extensive clinical training, Julie emphasizes mindfulness techniques, yoga-informed practices, and individualized treatment planning. Her approach is collaborative, client-centered, and rooted in fostering a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship. Depending on each client’s needs and preferences, Julie provides psychiatric evaluations, medication prescribing, medication refills, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy interventions.

In addition to her private practice, Julie serves as a Teaching Associate at Harvard Medical School and a Research Faculty member at Boston College. She brings experience from leading healthcare institutions including Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, Cambridge Health Alliance, TaraVista Behavioral Health Center, and Walden Behavioral Care. Julie’s work is informed by a commitment to evidence-based care, ongoing research, and a deep respect for each client’s journey.

Julie offers both in-person sessions at her Washington Square office (1622A Beacon St., Brookline, MA) and remote telehealth appointments to accommodate client needs. She is currently accepting new patients and welcomes inquiries from individuals seeking an integrative, mindfulness-based approach to mental health care.
