Professional statement

I am an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I bring a unique blend of experiences to practice. With a solid foundation forged during my eight-year tenure in the United States Army, I developed resilience, discipline and a commitment to service. I attended Chamberlain University for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned my Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Administration from Capella University. Subsequently, I obtained a post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from Walden University.

I have honed my skills across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals and community mental health centers. I have worked with individuals spanning all age groups, from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. Through my clinical practice, I have developed a deep understanding of various mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, panic disorders, insomnia, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), personality disorders and substance use.

I adopt a holistic approach to mental healthcare, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and social well-being. I value collaboration and strive to establish a therapeutic partnership with you centered on mutual respect and trust. Utilizing evidence-based practices, I tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs and preferences, integrating pharmacological interventions with psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications and supportive resources.
