Adult Psychiatrist, MD Master of Public Health, MPHDr. Alecia Greenlee is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She specializes in general psychiatry, women's mental health, navigating culture and gender identities. She uses her expertise in multiple therapy modalities to assist patients on their wellness journey. As a psychiatrist, she holds the expertise and convenience to offer both psychotherapy and medication when indicated.
She enjoys helping professionals from under-represented backgrounds navigate a world that offers both exceptional opportunities and challenges. This is a passion she developed in college, where she helped first generation college students navigate academic and personal challenges as a peer counselor.
Dr. Greenlee considers the impact of medical and physical conditions on mental health. She developed this expertise during her residency at Harvard Medical School/ Cambridge Health Alliance, where she served as a chief resident, and fellowship in Consult Liaison at the University of Chicago
Other professional interests include collaborative care and helping medical trainees learn how to navigate the intersection of race and psychotherapy. Dr. Greenlee has published multiple peer-reviewed research in these areas and has led workshops to help medical trainees navigate issues of cultural and gender identities.
