Dr. Busch takes care of patients of all ages and focused on college students and young adults. She believes that everyone has a unique journey in this life and individualized plans offer the best kind of help. For this reason, Dr. Busch gathers information about your medical, social, and mental health history in our first visit. Then together, you will work with Dr. Busch to co-create and individualized treatment just for you! This plan may include recommendations for lifestyle changes, therapy, and/or medication support.
With adult psychiatry residency training from the University of Chicago and child psychiatry training Harvard's Boston Children's Hospital, Dr. Busch has received a well-rounded education in mental health care. She has been in private practice since 2020 and offers different types of therapies. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can be helpful for those exploring the impact of the past on the present. Dr. Busch has trained in a number of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) which are very helpful for treating of anxiety, OCD, depression, insomnia, and many other conditions.
In addition to therapy, Dr. Busch is able to prescribe medications that help with common mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. Some patients see her for both therapy and medications while others see her for medication support alone. She works very hard to respect patient preferences and only prescribes the smallest amount of medications that is necessary for relief. With appropriate diagnosis, Dr. Busch is able prescribe common medications for ADHD for those living near Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.
