Professional statement

Dr. Caroline Golski is a psychiatrist who treats young adults at the Lifespan Outpatient Psychiatry clinic in East Greenwich, RI. She earned her MD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, and went on to complete her residency in adult psychiatry at Butler Hospital/Brown University in Providence, RI. She primarily treats young adults between the ages of 18-26, including college and graduate students.

Dr. Golski's practice focuses primarily on medication management for a variety of mental health conditions including mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. Along with medication management, Dr. Golski may incorporate a range of brief evidence based therapy techniques into treatment. These strategies can target a wide variety of concerns including navigating life transitions, relationships and achieving both long and short term goals.

**At this time, she is not accepting patients who are seeking therapy only and encourages patients who are seeking consistent psychotherapy (weekly to monthly basis) to seek out an individual therapist who can work with them on a regular basis. Dr. Golski frequently collaborates with patient's therapists to provide comprehensive care and can provide a list of therapy resources during your initial appointment if needed. **

Message to clients

Young adulthood is a time of many transitions which can be both exciting and challenging. My goal as a psychiatrist is to provide patients with compassionate and comprehensive care that addresses their specific needs. I work with individuals to understand their unique characteristics and develop a treatment plan that feels right for them. For many patients, this entails meeting with me for medication management in conjunction with working with a therapist.

Whether you are new to treatment or have worked with a psychiatrist before, meeting a new provider can be intimidating. During initial appointments, I strive to help patients feel supported and at ease while discussing concerns, sharing their history and asking questions. We will work together to determine your treatment goals and how to best reach them.
