She also worked with marginalized communities in NYC for 10 years, specializing in providing psychiatric treatment for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and people readjusting to society after incarceration. Erica has also worked as a Clinical Supervisor for Columbia University School of Nursing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner students.

Erica has availability for remote sessions. She is currently accepting referrals for psychotherapy.

Message to clients

When we take the courageous journey inside ourselves, whether for healing, greater self-awareness, or liberation, it helps to have an environment imbued with trust, safety, curiosity, and care. It also helps to have a guide, or a mirror, someone to reflect our blind spots and offer light on the path out of darkness. Healing is an alchemical process; we transform adversity into meaningful experiences that help us grow and become who we are meant to be. My work involves providing such a space, without judgement, to allow you the opportunity to heal and evolve.

As a contemplative psychiatric nurse practitioner, I integrate Western medicine, psychotherapy, and neuroscience with Buddhist and yoga philosophy, mindfulness and compassion-based practices, including meditation, breath-work, and attention to the physical body. My approach is collaborative and holistic, and I can prescribe psychotropic medications or recommend supplements if that might be helpful in your process. I work with adults of any age, who are experiencing a wide array of difficulties and are interested in living consciously.

My hope is to support you along the path to living a meaningful life. Areas of focus might include self-empowerment, restoring healthy boundaries, increasing self-compassion and decreasing the self-critical internal voice, cultivating connection to self and others, and learning to sit with strong emotions with ease and spaciousness. I will meet you where you are and together, we can create a unique treatment approach to help you reach your goals of healing and self-development.
