Dr. Ozkarahan is a medical school Valedictorian and Board-Certified Psychiatrist with multiple fitness and nutrition credentials by the National Academy of Sports Medicine including as a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach. In her virtual psychiatry practice, she treats young adults (ages 20s through 40s) struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, body image / eating issues, adjustment difficulties, life transitions, loss, insomnia, panic, OCD, and the challenges of academic & professional lives. Dr. Ozkarahan earned her medical degree (MD) from New York Medical College and completed her adult psychiatry residency training at NYU Langone Health / Bellevue Hospital Center. Following her residency, Dr. Ozkarahan obtained advanced training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU School of Medicine where she interviews applicants to the medical school annually. For several years, she worked as a psychiatrist on the Student Mental Health Service of Columbia University Medical Center where she treated graduate & professional level students in the health sciences who were struggling with the emotional demands of higher education.
