Professional statement

Julie Angileri is a Nurse Practitioner with board certifications in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. She completed additional training in integrative medicine, a scientifically backed approach to symptoms that uses supplements and other techniques that aren't prescriptions. She sees patients ages 10 and up and has two specialties, ADHD and Dementia, as both deal with memory and executive function. Julie sees patients with nearly every diagnosis, though, and manages them in a kind, thoughtful, and respectful way. Julie believes in caring for all people in a non-judgmental way regardless of a persons race, ethnicity, and especially sexual orientation or gender. In fact, she works with many people in various stages of gender transition.

Julie sees patients using a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, meaning all appointments are held using a phone, tablet or computer. This allows for tremendous flexibility for people who are working or busy moms who just can't get away for an appointment.

Message to clients

Selecting a prescriber is different than selecting a therapist. Because you see the prescriber often in the beginning but less frequently as you're stabilized, you want someone that you can easily talk to and that listens to you. I can assure you, I'm that person. In fact, in my 20 years in the behavioral health field, I assure you I've heard just about everything and nothing raises my eyebrow. Instead, I will listen with an open mind, and offer you many different options for treatment. I utilize the shared decision making model of healthcare, which means that I'll give you all the options that will work for your set of symptoms, and you will decide what you want to implement. At your follow up appointment, you are encouraged to say "I didn't do this or that" item on your treatment plan. If there was a barrier to you implementing the items you selected, I'll work with you to either modify your plan of find ways around those barriers. This model puts YOU in the drivers seat of your own healthcare. We know from studies, this means faster results and returning to the life you want to live. Allow me to join you on your journey and I bet we can make a great team.
