Dr. Stafford is an ivy league-trained, double board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, which gives her the training and expertise to treat patients from early childhood through adulthood.
She received her MD at Michigan State University where she earned honors in Psychiatry, and gained additional clinical psychiatric experience at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. Her adult psychiatry training was completed at the University of Massachusetts where she served as the Chief Resident in Psychopharmacology as well as the Chief Resident for the Psychiatric Consultation-Liaison Service with a subspecialty interest in working with clients with treatment-resistant Depressive Disorders. Her child and adolescent psychiatry training was completed at Brown University with a subspecialty focus in treating children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities. Dr. Stafford also has considerable experience in treating children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety and mood disorders, and enjoys evaluating and treating patients from all backgrounds with a combination of medication management and psychotherapy targeting a wide variety of general psychiatric concerns. She sees clients in multiple states in New England and has consulted with international clients as well.
