Phina Mayu is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years in mental health. Phina has worked in outpatient clinics as well as inpatient psychiatry at Arbor Fuller Hospital in Attleboro, MA and Landmark Medical Center inpatient psych/ED. She has also worked in various settings throughout her career as a nursing professional. Phina completed a 1-year NP Residency at Providence Community Health Center and offered primary care as well as urgent care to adults 18 years and above. At Afya Services, each individual’s treatment plan is tailored to fit and we welcome you with open hands. Phina's professional and life experiences contribute to her expertise and competence as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Afya Services LLC offers both primary care and medication management/ talk therapy to individuals 18 years of age and above. We are located in Warwick, RI and offer the utmost professional and respectful services to members of the community, while staying true to the wonderful diversity that is embedded in society. We specialize in a wide array of areas, including Primary care, ADHD, Addiction, Substance Abuse, Insomnia, Anxiety and Depression. Services are offered through Telehealth and in person. Evening and weekend hours are also available. We are here to help you in your journey.


ADHD - Skill-building and support around organizational challenges, distracted attention, procrastination; building and maintaining healthy routines and structure

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Addiction - Coping with emotional discomfort and suffering; reducing or abstaining from unwanted behaviors such as unhealthy gambling or shopping

Alcohol use disorder & addiction - Tolerating emotional discomfort; reducing or eliminating reliance on alcohol; development of new coping mechanisms for stress and suffering.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
