Rebecca Burson
She/Her/Hers
Psychiatrist, DOShe/Her/Hers
Psychiatrist, DODr. Rebecca Burson is from Washington State and spent years as a mountaineering guide. Although no longer physically guiding others through the elements, she continues to be passionate about empowering her patients to strive for their potential through professional and holistic psychiatric care so they can overcome life’s inevitable obstacles. She went into psychiatry as she loves working with “neurons and narratives” – she strives to understand the connection between healing and our stories and how biological, psychological, social and spiritual contributions can make us who we are and who we want to be.
She started Alpenglow Mental Wellness in 2018. Alpenglow is a term that refers to the bending of light as the sun comes up over the mountains, meaning that after a dark night you can see the sun before it has even crossed the horizon. Essentially, alpenglow is an image of hope.
Dr. Burson works with adults ages 20 - 65. She offers all sessions through a virtual psychiatry practice using secure video conferencing (telepsychiatry) which is a great option for those who value their time and prefer the control of their own environment. She is in-network with Aetna (WA only), United (WA only) and TRICARE (WA, ID, UT, CO) but otherwise, out-of-network for all other insurances (superbill given for potential reimbursement),
