Aaron Lauber is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in NoMad, Manhattan. Aaron has deep expertise in working with members of the LGBTQIA community, creative and performing artists, people in helping professions, and individuals struggling with trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. Aaron has enjoyed working with a diverse clientele and brings a culturally sensitive lens to his practice.

Aaron takes an integrative approach to therapy, incorporating elements of insight-oriented, emotion-focused, and trauma processing techniques along with the philosophy and practice of mindfulness. Aaron aims to guide his clients in understanding how past painful experiences influence how they navigate the world and its obstacles in the present.

Aaron is excited to help his clients embrace their authentic selves and live their lives in the fullest way possible. He welcomes clients of all identities and backgrounds, encouraging them to bring their whole selves to his office, a short walk from the Herald Square subway station.

My work as a counselor and psychotherapist is devoted to guiding people through the process of healing trauma and shame, helping people reconnect with their true selves and deepest passions, and supporting people as they create the most authentic and meaningful lives possible.
