Abigail Mchugh is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker committed to helping clients live their best lives.
Before earning her Master’s in Social Work and becoming a therapist, Abby worked as a paralegal and managed a hotline providing free legal assistance for a housing nonprofit. It was during this time that she discovered the profound impact she could have by listening to and talking through the problems of others. This experience inspired her to become a therapist, driven by a passion for facilitating change through human connection.
Since starting her career as a therapist, Abby has worked with a diverse range of individuals across various mental health settings. Recently, she has been providing online therapy through WellQor, feeling honored to assist many people in exploring their personal stories and making positive changes.
Abby adheres to the motto, "this too shall pass." She believes that while struggling with mental health can feel overwhelming, everything in life is temporary. With her support, clients can navigate difficult times, knowing that better days are ahead. Abby aims to offer a caring and warm presence, helping clients alleviate their problems, build skills, and achieve their goals.
Outside of her professional life, Abby enjoys browsing bookstores and reading new novels. She also has a passion for embroidery, despite acknowledging that she’s still improving in this craft. She looks forward to learning more about each client she works with.
