Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Master of Social Work, MSW Practice: NY City Psychotherapy LCSW PLLCAdam Ortiz is a therapist in New York. He serves clients of all walks of life, and is especially welcoming to those from marginalized communities, such as people of color, immigrants, the queer community, and those who identify as neurodiverse. Adam works with those who are experiencing issues with anxiety, trauma, depression, and who seek to find purpose and a deeper connection to their authentic self.
Adam's therapy approach is one that begins with a humanistic and holistic perspective. Adam also uses more flexible approaches such as existential and spiritual therapy to build concepts and understanding around the ideas of resiliency, personal transformation, forgiveness, and self-actualization.
Adam brings a lifetime of experience as a community worker helping at-risk populations into his clinical endeavors. He is a lifetime martial artist of over 35 years, which supplements his approach to somatic and spiritual interventions. He is also an advocate for social justice, and is responsible for the formation of Social Responsibility Committees that address social justice issues within company/corporate settings.
