Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, LMFTAAdrienne LaRoe is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate located in The Woodlands, TX. Adrienne works with clients of different ages, from late teens to older adults. She supports couples who would like to grow their relationships and move past enduring conflict. She also helps families who are going through chronic or new illnesses, challenges with autism, or major life transitions. Many of her clients face anxiety, depression, professional burnout, grief, PTSD, chronic illness or pain, low self-esteem, or relationship conflict.
Adrienne is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families rewrite their stories. She guides them through introspection and development so they can reach a higher state of wellbeing. She utilizes a few different therapy modalities in her work, including mindfulness practices, Narrative Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Clients learn how to pay attention to their feelings, and they learn new coping strategies that can be helpful at home, school, or work. They also learn how to focus their relationships around healthy patterns, including healthy thought and belief patterns, so they can enjoy the bonds they have with others. Adrienne provides empathetic, kind support throughout the mental health journey.
Adrienne earned a Master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. She offers clients a holistic perspective to wellbeing, and encourages them to prioritize their physical and mental health as they go through the therapy process. She aims to help clients grow their resilience so they feel confident facing any roadblocks that come their way.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Career counseling - Support around personal and professional growth; clarifying career goals and implementing steps toward building a fulfilling career and meaningful work-life balance
Couples counseling - Addressing relationship challenges and life transitions; strengthening communication and feelings of security, desire, connection, and love
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Family issues - Promoting communication and supporting family members to address challenges and reduce conflict and distress
Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
