Aiko Takemura helps clients who want to feel better, get unstuck, have healthy relationships, and live to the fullest potential. Aiko Supports survivors of childhood trauma to release their trauma, reclaim their truth, and realize their dreams through experiential activities and group coaching sessions. Her values are grounded in respect for the unique experiences of her clients' past and their choices as they embark on the healing journey. She believes that the past experiences of trauma do not define clients' future. Healing is possible for everyone.
Aiko maintains her NYS license and strives to hone her skills. Currently, she is training with Patrick Teahan, the childhood trauma specialist. She offers Relationship Recovery Program created by him and supports her clients' process of childhood trauma and recovery capacity for deeper connection and intimacy.
In addition, Aiko encourages her clients to learn mindfulness skills and increase tolerance and ability to process difficult emotions. She uses Emotional Freedom Technique, Yoga, and Breathwork. She is a trained energy psychology practitioner.
After Aiko obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work, she worked as a therapist in a large hospital and community mental health setting until she opened her private practice. She attends training and conferences to assist clients effectively. Her past focus and interest include Cognitive Hebavior Model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Yoga, Mindfulness and Energy Psychology. As a childhood trauma survivor herself, she understands the importance of her healing. The methods she uses to work with her clients are tried and tested by her healing journey.
Aiko offers both individual and group counseling. She has an office in Rochester, NY, where she meets with local clients. Many of her clients work virtually from all over New York State.
