I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, meaning I have knowledge and experience working with people with a wide variety of disabilities. I have received training in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is a trauma-based therapy for adolescents and children that has extensive research on its effectiveness. I have participated in trainings for suicide intervention, safety planning, and prevention, allowing me to feel comfortable addressing suicidal thoughts with clients. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, providing a better understanding for clients who have been hospitalized for their mental health, and a confidence to know when there is a need for hospitalization. I have worked with clients in the school setting through an outpatient clinic, allowing me to better understand the current academic environment for youth.
