Alexandra Rothschild is a therapist in Denver, CO that works with both individuals and couples. Many of Alexandra’s clients suffer from the long-lasting impact and symptoms from difficult life experiences, transitions, relationships issues and trauma including those who have flashbacks, insomnia, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, as well as many other symptoms that cause problems for people. Alexandra also works closely with clients who are already in recovery from substance abuse or addiction to continue their progress towards a sober, healthy life and discover the underlying causes of the addiction. Alexandra Also works with couples to identify their triggers and issues in relationship, to understand each other and communicate and then to clear the triggers present for each person so that they can be more clear minded and present when in conflict in relationship.
Alexandra practices Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a type of therapy that activates the part of the brain that handles memories, to support clients past their traumas or anxieties and onto lives uninterrupted by psychological symptoms. Alexandra believes that everyone has the innate power to move past trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety or other concerns and is passionate about providing her clients with the coping skills needed to unlock that power. Alexandra’s practice includes looking back at the past to make sense of the future by releasing what has been held in the system from the past as well as changing the frameworks with which we see the world, and building self-esteem.
Alexandra has both personal and professional experience with mindfulness practices and she believes that by making the connection between the body’s physical experiences of emotions to psychological symptoms and reactions and releasing what is held or stuck inside, all clients will find higher comfort in their everyday lives.
