Professional statement

Ali Hittman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Villanova, PA. Ali supports clients as they navigate the emotional impacts of major life transitions. This includes getting a new job or starting at a new school, beginning or ending a relationship, growing a family, or developing a new self-identity. She gives clients the tools they need to feel comfortable with who they are, even in the face of distress. Many of her clients suffer from anxiety or depression and need someone to help them find ways to cope.

Ali’s approach to therapy incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy. She teaches clients how to identify unhealthy habits, including thought patterns. She also encourages clients to reflect on their past experiences and how those past experiences impact their present emotional state. She emphasizes the importance of the relationship between client and therapist and strives to build a strong, collaborative relationship with each client.

Ali earned her Master’s degree from Yeshiva University. She has a certificate in Psychodynamic Approaches from the National Institute for Psychotherapies. She empowers clients to align their daily lives with their values and their goals in a way that helps them feel fulfilled and joyful.

Message to clients

I strive to provide therapy that helps my clients to feel both cared for and supported. Whether it be the dissolution of a marriage, the birth of a child, or a difficult interpersonal relationship, together we will work to understand your experience of these major life transitions. We will explore your values, what you hope to gain from therapy, and how you see your life becoming more fulfilling.

We will explore together by incorporating psychoanalytic, relational and CBT perspectives. We will develop a therapeutic relationship that will be the foundation of our work. I will always try to meet you where you are.

Finding the right therapist can feel like an intimidating and overwhelming task, but I encourage you to reach out for an initial phone consultation to see if this is the right fit. I will be happy to help you navigate this process.
