Alisa Hannum, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who offers in person and telepsychology services in Colorado and telepsychology services to all PSYPACT participating states. Dr. Hannum’s practice centers on transformation and psychological growth especially in the context of trauma and PTSD.
Dr. Hannum received her PhD from West Virginia University in 2010. She completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She then worked for more than 10 years for the Veterans Administration as a clinical psychologist with a focus on working with Veterans who experienced military sexual trauma. Dr. Hannum is board certified in geropsychology and has specialized training in the treatment of posttraumatic stress (including certifications in all the gold standard, evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure). She also has received intensive training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (her practice offers Ketamine Assisted Therapy) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her work is heavily informed by Internal Family Systems.
When she is not practicing psychotherapy, Dr. Hannum is engaged in volunteering, meditation practice, hiking, and spending time with her partner and two children (usually at the hockey rink).
