Alison Machabee specializes in working holistically with individuals and couples facing relationship challenges, complex trauma, and mood disorders. She is warm, centered, and practical, collaborating with clients to map their histories and empower them to build an inner sense of safety that serves as the foundation for change and growth. She uses an integrative approach that is tailored to each client and centers cultural humility and equality.
Alison holds a Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University New England with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Advanced Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and The Gottman Method. She was an AAMFT Minority Fellow in 2021-2022. She is also a certified yoga, Pilates, and mindfulness instructor.
