Professional statement

Allison Brannon, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Denver, CO. She specializes in ADHD, couples therapy, grief and loss, personal boundaries, and navigating life transitions.

Allison formed her business, What's Right With You Counseling, LLC in October 2022 after starting her online private practice at the beginning of 2022. She has been a licensed clinical social worker and therapist for 20 years and has worked for hospice, in residential treatment with adolescents, nursing homes, emergency rooms and mental health crisis. She utilizes her training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy to ask skillful, intentional questions in hopes of clients being able to think from a different perspective and come up with different solutions to the issues bringing them to therapy. One client told her "You help me feel safe and cause me to think deeply", and another said, "You were what I needed when I needed it". She believes we are all the experts on ourselves, and the answers lie in the process, not the outcome.

When she is not helping clients become their best selves, Allison loves to cook, travel, go to live theatre events, and do outdoor activities. She also has ADHD and has knowingly lived with it for 2 decades.

Allison offers online sessions only. If you want to use insurance, she will route you through a company she contracts with who handles insurance billing, or you can contact her about sliding scale or private pay. Allison has a lot of availability currently (starting 9/18/24) and can see you within 24-48 hours

Message to clients

Let me guess....you're here because something isn't going the way you hoped, or maybe life is ambiguous and it feels like a lot to handle on your own. Take a deep breath, and allow me the privilege of being curious with you while we figure it out. Sometimes life hits us in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist for 20 years. We are the experts on ourselves, but we forget about this when life takes an unexpected turn. There is nothing wrong with you that what's right with you cannot fix. Let's start putting the puzzle pieces together in a different way. In the words of Ram Dass, “We are all just walking each other home.”

I help individuals understand and navigate the challenges of ADHD, especially those unaware ADHD could be the underlying cause of their anxiety, depression, and focus issues. Many people with ADHD struggle with deadlines, task completion, and relationship or work issues, creating a cycle of stress and low self-esteem. Using Solution-Focused Therapy, I guide clients to understand understand their difficulties as the way their brain functions, not a personality flaw. Together, we create practical, strengths-based strategies, leading to improved task management, increased self-esteem, reduced anxiety, and a deeper self-understanding.

ADHD also significantly impacts relationships and work. I help couples navigate the hurdles ADHD inevitably brings by helping both partners listen better, manage conflict, and learn how to fight right.
