Professional statement

Alyssa creates an open, non-judgmental therapeutic space where people with OCD, ADHD, and anxiety can prioritize their mental health, combat negative thoughts, and create healthier, more productive coping strategies.

Through her person-centered approach, Alyssa invites clients to come as they are and feel free to be themselves. Whether someone is struggling with inattentiveness and hyperactivity or obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, both can create feelings of shame, anxiety, and stress. That’s why self compassion and self love are two key tenets of Alyssa’s practice. Exploring the thoughts, feelings and past experiences that drive these obsessive behaviors starts when clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable.

By combining these practices with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), clients can combat negative thoughts, free themselves from disruptive patterns, and take back control of their lives.

Message to clients

You know yourself and your needs best, and I am here to guide you in navigating them. Together we will create a space where you can feel seen and heard while being compassionate for the thoughts and behaviors you may wish to understand. My goal as your therapist is to give you the support and tools that will smooth the path to the growth you are searching for.

I am passionate about working with individuals who experience ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. While personalizing each session to your individual needs, I use CBT techniques to help you combat intrusive thoughts as well as emotional regulation techniques in managing intense feelings. In working to increase your positive thoughts, behaviors and beliefs we will work collaboratively in creating and maintaining long and short term goals. These goals will allow you to monitor progress while also giving me feedback on what is working and not working for you in sessions.

If you found yourself relating to the words above, please feel free to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation with me. I hope to hear from you soon!
