Many adults struggle with unsatisfying lives. Many of us are exhausted, frustrated, anxious, and depressed. These mental health challenges manifest in malcontent jobs, difficulties with intimacy, people pleasing, self doubt, or lack of purpose. Amaia helps individuals, couples, and polycules gain a better understanding of what is causing the pain and the steps required to live a well lived life. Many clients seek a comforting space to work through challenges like work stress, relationship conflicts, or grief after loss.
Amaia supports clients as they work towards their life goals by providing them empathetic insight and perspective. She practices a couples therapy modality called the Gottman Method, which helps couples to deepen their emotional bond with each other and learn research based communication skills. She also works from a transpersonal view point to help clients engage with their spirituality as a way of furthering their meaning and purpose in life.
Amaia Oiz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who sees all clients through Telehealth in Nevada and Florida. She earned a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology at the University of Nevada, and also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Amaia is a Certified Yoga Teacher with over 20 years of experience guiding others through the science and philosophy of yoga. She has extensive experience guiding people into consciousness and towards a better understanding of the human condition. She takes a holistic approach to healing because she believes we are multi-faceted beings.
In working with Amaia you will improve your self awareness, gain self acceptance and advocacy, and improve the relationship with yourself and others.
