Professional statement

Amanda Caffey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Wyoming and Virginia. She works with individual children, youth, adults, and couples. Many of Amanda’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, parenting, and relationship/marriage issues. Amanda is particularly passionate about serving family caregivers, parents of children with disabilities, and individuals navigating their spiritual journey. She also has a passion for supporting the military, veteran, and military spouses community and the homeschool community. She has advanced training in the areas of grief/loss and supporting those with early onset dementia.

Amanda is trained in Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She approaches treatment as an eclectic therapist, as she draws from a variety of disciplines and evidenced-based methods to customize the therapeutic process for each unique individual. In the session, Amanda focuses on etiology of the problem/issue, building understanding of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, best hopes for the future, challenging thoughts, and building on one's personal strength and resilience. Amanda's hope for clients is that they feel heard, validated, and supported while also being empowered to move forward and achieve their personal goals.

Amanda's style is warm, friendly, empathetic, and non-judgmental. When clients first start therapy, she will work to establish a strong rapport and comfortable environment where others feel safe and welcomed.

Amanda received her MSW from Colorado State University in 2019. She has provided behavioral health services in both clinic and telehealth settings and has experience working with a diverse population of clients extending across the lifespan. Outside of private practice, she enjoys homeschooling her two children and enjoying quiet time on the beach with a good book in-hand. Amanda is only a telehealth provider and sessions are all remote using a HIPAA-compliant platform.
