Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT Master of Arts, MAAmanda Colon is a bilingual registered associate marriage and family therapist under the supervision of Carlos Laack, licensed marriage and family therapist. Amanda provides therapy in English and Spanish. She has a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked with The Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) in their Wellness Department where shenprovided treatment for children and youth at risk. In addition, Amanda has worked in Private practices and in Nonprofits, where she treated adults, families, children, couples, and seniors. Amanda has experience treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, depression, and interpersonal relationship issues. She enjoys working with a diverse group of individuals while offering a safe and non-judgmental environment where everyone can feel understood.

Adolescent mental health - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on social, academic, and/or emotional challenges throughout teenage years; addressing anxiety, family conflicts, peer relationships, school stress, transition to college, social media pressures, self-esteem, hopelessness about the future, emotional disregulation
Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.
