Professional statement

Amanda is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Kingston, NY. She loves helping clients gain insight into coping with our world as it is – experiencing anxiety about the future, grieving about our climate, and struggling to get needs met in relationships. She offers a genuine connection and a different kind of therapy experience. One built on your rich life experiences and stories, innovative therapy techniques, and challenging old ideas and ingrained beliefs. She will normalize the experience of negative self-talk, teach strategies to rewrite your internal narrative and build tools for anxiety.

You and Amanda will use a mix of mind, body, and spirit practices to help you feel whole again. With these techniques, you will get excited about therapy and feel motivated to find your own journey toward healing. Her focus on women’s rights, fighting beauty standards, and LQBTQIA+ advocacy puts her in a place to empower a diverse clientele.

Message to clients

You woke up again from one of those terrible dreams that the world was on fire. You felt alone, and it stuck with you all day. To top it all off, the voice in your head keeps getting louder, saying harsh things like, “It’s all too much anyway. Why even bother trying?” You’ve been through a cycle of unenthusiastic therapists and are tired of it. You really want a therapist to help you walk through this crazy world we’re living in. Someone that can help you learn, grow, and challenge societal norms and live according to your own rules.

I'm here to tell you that you don’t have to walk this path alone….

It’s easy to forget that millions of other narratives are happening all around us; doing this work brings me a feeling of connectedness that I want to share with you. Let's connect so I can share my unique style and help you soothe those critical inner voices.

I'd love to help you plan for a meaningful future.
