Professional statement

Amanda Lassiter is a psychotherapist serving Massachusetts and Georgia. She supports individuals and couples that seek support in sustained wellness via full-potential authenticity and healing. Many of her clients struggle with feeling like they're enough, loved, or like they matter. And because of that get stuck in anxiety, depression, bad habits, or anger that keeps them from reaching their potential. Amanda's clients need support healing from their upbringing, attachment, trauma, moving past experiences or hurtful relationships. Or, they may be in a season of adjustment to a new role, wanting to embrace or re-engage with their identity, or may be seeking care to stay grounded and in alignment with their highest authentic self.

Amanda cares for her clients by aligning the heart, mind and body. Amanda considers herself a relationship-centered provider, actively and intentionally engaging with clients. Amanda has certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, and Trauma-Focused CBT which help clients better understand the connection between thought, feeling, and behavior. And how to heal through them. She also draws from extensive trainings in attachment-based therapy, enneagram, neurobiology, neuropsychology, narrative therapy, and internal family systems. Amanda believes good psychotherapy is customized for the individual, pulling from various modalities.

Her goal is to help clients explore the unknown about themselves, heal deep hurt and pain, restore or be healed from broken relationships or navigate new ones, and gain self-acceptance and an authentic higher self. She equips clients with tools to care for daily living and the deeper layers within.

Message to clients

I desire for you to be truly known, and to step fully into you're meant to be. Celebrating your gifts while challenging you to grow. My approach is unconventionally conversational and relational based.I seek your wellness by inviting and guiding you through self-discovery and evidence-based techniques that incorporate the whole body. I care about your story--the one you've written thus far, the one you're choosing to write today, and the one you hope to write tomorrow.

My approach is caring for you on both a technical and soulful level. I will offer you neuroscience and somatic tools to help get through the everyday. When we find ourselves struggling there's often a disconnect between our mind from the rest of the body. We store pain and trauma in our bodies. And often miss the opportunity to lean into what our body is messaging--its attempt to help protect, care and heal us.

I also focus on a deeper core level including the subconscious to identify patterns that don't serve you well. There are wounds and weights that you've been carrying--messages you've received and/or self-inflicted that stunt who you're meant to be. The patterns you have now result from relationships and experiences in the early part of your story. This vulnerable part of you needs to be attuned to and healed.

It's the tandem of technique and deep core work that will lead you to sustainable change, that leads you to who you were truly designed to be.
