She practices an evidence-based therapy modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), where clients learn how to increase their distress tolerance and manage difficult emotions, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), where clients clarify their core values and learn to act on those values. Amber helps clients set goals for themselves, including breaking harmful habits. She provides them with the tools they need to leave behind unhealthy behaviors, whether through mindfulness practices or grounding exercises.
Amber earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Kansas and earned a Master’s degree from Argosy University. She has completed intensive training in DBT from the Linehan Institute. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in the mental health field, and offers clients a greater sense of hope and joy in their lives.
