Professional statement

Amber Rickert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, CA who utilizes a holistic, mind-body approach to help clients work through such issues as trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Amber warmly welcomes clients who are committed to change; those who may have been in prior therapy but have not yet fully shifted fundamental maladaptive patterns, and who are open to new ways of thinking and feeling about themselves. She uses both somatic modalities and a cutting edge technique called Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT) to help clients settle their nervous systems and resolve their trauma and suffering.

Amber's work is grounded in attachment and relational theory, and is rooted in the belief that healing is a fundamental right shared by all humans. Through her current work as a Director of Outpatient Services in south Los Angeles – as well as extensive experience in working with children and families – she has grown to fundamentally understand the importance of attachment, safety, and repair in the context of relationships. Her work with clients emphasizes that importance.

Amber's office is located in Highland Park, in northeast Los Angeles; she is also available via telehealth sessions. She looks forward to working with you.

Message to clients

We are living in complex and important times. There is so much uncertainty about the future and sometimes it feels like our unfinished business is now standing up and staring us in the face. Making the decision to come to therapy is such a profoundly life altering choice, it is the most important investment in yourself that you can make.

I view my role as a guide to help you access the hidden parts of yourself that lead to you changing your life. By choosing to come to therapy, you choose to reshape your whole mind, your world view, and your future. It is a deep honor to do healing work at this time in our history. The journey we undertake together as therapist and client is one of the most sacred that exists.
