Amy Audet is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker that provides individually tailored, personalized and creative one-on-one sessions. She creates a safe and supportive space to talk through sensitive and challenging issues. Amy works with those who want to feel better, live authentically and be fully present in their lives. Amy is focused on helping others get rid of the background noise and focus on what really matters.
Amy uses acceptance-based, interpersonal and existential therapies to help people feel more free, find harmony in relationships and understand the big questions of life. This approach has helped others gain perspective and feel more sure of themselves. Clients learn to sit with their suffering without the need to "fix" or "solve" everything and they develop a strong sense of self. Amy has advanced training in the areas of mindfulness and movement based practices and is a registered Yoga teacher. Her work is marked by helping people develop self-acceptance, self-compassion and self-trust.
Amy received her undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Social work as well as her Masters degree in Social work while in Providence, RI. Having been through many waves of change in her own life, she is poised to help clients who are struggling with stage of life issues as well as those in a state of transition. She enjoys working with new and seasoned parents who are navigating the challenges of family life.
