During her career as an educational psychologist and counselor, she has worked with individuals experiencing career changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. She also has professional experience in the educational sector working with college students by helping them navigate their transition through college and adulthood. Dr. Baratta became licensed as a Psychologist in El Salvador (1998). In the States, she furthered her education by earning a Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Educational Psychology with a minor in Counseling from Indiana University (2012). She also earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Union Institute and University (2018). Dr. Baratta is a Licensed Professional Counselor by the State of Ohio.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
